New Year, New Look
A new year typically introduces new beginnings for many; new resolutions, plans, opportunities and more. Haitian Heritage & Friends of Haiti (HHFoH) is beginning 2018 with a bang with a new website! The new site launched on January 23rd. The new website was created with the help of a team of graduate students from Elon University’s Interactive Media Program. The site includes a revamped logo, updated content, videos, new photos and much more. One of the bigger changes is the addition to a new page dedicated to HHFoH’s in-progress medical clinic. Saint Se Riches Medical Hospital is one of the top priorities of HHFoH right now. The clinic will be located in the northern rural area of Haiti and be made up of multiple shipping containers. HHFoH partnered with Optima Engineering and Cluck Design Collaborative to come up with the design and logistics of the project.
“In America, we take basic needs such as clean drinking water, a functioning sewage system, and garbage pickup for granted, but Haitians do not. These things don’t exist for most Haitians,” said Kevin Kennedy, Cluck Design.
HHFoH works to continue to rebuild the lives of those in Haiti and bringing together the Haitian Community in Charlotte. This new website, will play a vital part in making sure that HHFoH continues to build and impact the Haitian community.
